The Langham Hotel

Known as a grand hotel in London, The Langham Hotel, is located in Marylebone facing towards Regent’s Park. It was built between 1863 and 1865 – costing a total of £300,000. Patrons included Napoleon III, Mark Twain Oscar Wile, Antonin Dvorák and Arturo Toscanini.

Beware of room 333 which is thought to be the most haunted room. The story behind this room goes that in 1973 a BBC radio announcer, James Alexander-Gordon stayed here. He woke up to find a fluorescent ball in front of him take the shape of a man in Victorian evening attire. He asked the ghost what it wanted and it began to float towards him. The ghost is said to have its legs cut off and arms outstretched. He is said to have got up and fled!
